Routes and prices

Most often, you’ll want to rent a canoe for a day or two - that’s why we’ve prepared routes perfectly suited for exactly that.

Mazsalaca – Līču Skola (up to 6 hours) €35*

A perfect one-day route where you’ll experience the very best of Skaņaiskalns Nature Park - five sandstone cliff outcrops, scenic Latvian forests, and a peaceful finish at a well-equipped campsite.

Mazsalaca – Staicele (two days) 45 €*

The same as on the first day - but you can continue paddling the following day and finish just before the Steicele sluice gates. It’s best not to go beyond them!

*All prices are listed in euros per canoe and apply when booking four or more canoes. If you would like to reserve a smaller number of canoes, please contact us for pricing. The rental price includes the canoe, paddles, life jackets, and transportation of the canoe. Driver logistics are arranged separately. For an additional fee, we can organize bus transportation for the entire group.*

What types of boats do you offer?

We offer a variety of boats for rent - canoes, kayaks, and SUP boards.

How much does boat rental cost?

The rental price depends on the type of boat and the duration of the rental. Please see our pricing page or contact us for more detailed information.

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes, we provide life jackets for all clients as part of our rental service. Safety is our top priority.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, booking is recommended. We suggest reserving your boats in advance to ensure availability, especially during the high season. But you can always call, and we will see if we can help you!

Where to stay?

The Salaca offers a wide range of options for everyone - routes can be adapted for both beginners and experienced paddlers. If you’re looking for a full one- or two-day adventure, we recommend the route to Līču Skola - a scenic campsite located just a day’s paddle from Mazsalaca.

At Līču Skola, you’ll find campfire and tent areas, a sauna, a hot tub, and beds in the historic school building. It’s an ideal place to combine active time on the water with relaxing moments in nature.
